TOO NICHE, TOO NIETZSCHE

Too Niche, Too Nietzsche was commissioned by the Association of Dominican Classical Artists as part of Carnegie Hall’s Nuestros Sonidos Festival, and premiered on May 15, 2025.

This is a scene of rupture, of disbelief caught in the body. What happens when love curdles into betrayal? When memory becomes hallucination? When the dream becomes too clear to ignore? Follow the harp. Let it pull you through three dimensions:

  1. The physical act – rage, violence, breath, impact.

2. The plane of thought – fractured logic, old wounds, attempts to justify.

3. The pre-verbal space – before language, before story. Primal. Polygons floating.

Let yourself drift. Don't ask what it means. Feel what it wants. This piece is drawn from a larger opera in progress, New Cibao, and reflects a deep interest in emotional extremes, inherited patterns, and the role of guilt in shaping human behavior.
